Here’s an article from the Washington Post about Cheney’s defense of administration policy on Iraq. Amongst other choice whoppers, lies so outrageous that you can imagine his nose visibly growing whilst speaking them are:
Cheney said the administration did not underestimate the financial cost, the resistance or the troop strength needed to pacify Iraq, and he said that prewar allegations about Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction would be vindicated.
Further, Cheney argued that new evidence found in Iraq proved more ties between Hussein and Osama bin Laden’s al Qaeda organization, and he argued that Iraq was the “geographic base” for the perpetrators of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. ”
Cheney is saying that Iraq is the “geographic base” – what does that mean? Is there any actual evidence other than this assertion in the midst of a pack of obvious fabrications? Folks, this man thinks you are too stupid to realize that it isn’t raining, that’s him pissing on you. Good god. I’m not sure what scares me most, that they behave this way or the fact that they don’t seem to care whether or not they hide their scumbag behavior and outrageous lies.
