Kate Worley, RIP

Another sad passing. Kate Worley, writer of the comic book Omaha the Cat Dancer, has passed away. Damn. She wrote some of the most believable characters in the history of comics. Even though these characters were cats and dogs and chickens, you knew them and see people just like them every day. Although they were anthropomorphic animals, you bought into their stories totally. Her work was fabulous and emotionally engaging and the field is lessened without her. Sympathies to her family, particularly her two children who will have had their mother in their lives for too short a time.

Neil Gaiman presents by way of a eulogy a piece he wrote about Kate and Reed Waller for an Omaha collection.
