Today’s The Day

After having my gut tied in knots over this election for the last 6 months, today’s the day and I feel good about it. I live in a bright red state, so I’m not going to be having much of an effect on the outcome but I’m proudly voting anyway.

William Gibson pointed to this piece suggesting that the black and young vote are being radically undercounted by the pollsters and that the election will actually not be nearly as close as we all think. I just want the margins to be wide enough that crooked Diebold voting machines can’t close that gap.

Indigestion

We went out and had a nice dinner tonight. As I sit here and watch election coverage, I’m worried that I might lose it right back. I’m hopeful that things will turn out alright, but man o man is this a gut churner. I think the sensible reaction would be to take a nap and check back around midnight.
