EGC Clambake for January 3, 2006

Here is the Bittorrent link and direct MP3 download for the EGC clambake for January 3, 2006.

I play another song from Michelle Malone’s upcoming album; I play a clip from Jimbo Wales on Better Bad News and talk about Wikipedia; I play a song from Harvey Danger; I explain why I won’t be at Podcastercon this weekend after all; I have decided I want to be to podcasting what the Church of the Subgenius is to religion; Kill Rock Stars doesn’t mind you playing their music in podcasts! I play a song by Phranc and head it out.

  1. re: wife karma- I recall an incident with a business associate. I had the opportunity to visit his home and was really impressed by how happy he and his family came across. When I commented on this, he smiled looked at me and replied, “happy squaw, happy teepee!”. Hope you get caught up and enjoy your weekend with your lovely Mrs S.

  2. Going for my double-dip for the day: The Bluesman thanks you big time for the Kill All Rockstars podsafe(yes podsafe with a small “p” not that other jive one) mp3 page. Best Bad News looks cool too-looks like the “home team” did good today.

  3. Thanks for mentioning my podcast (Deliberate Noise). I’ve always said that it was one of your shows that inspired me to start my own. I’m glad that I could give something back.

  4. Good show. Was this one truncated, or did my download not complete? I was hanging on the words about uplifter, fully expecting goodbyes, and the next thing I know, here’s Rex Hobart and the Misery Boys on the shuffle.

BB: At our house it’s called If mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy. I think we’ve got a poster with that on it someplace 😉

    -k-

  5. Steve, I have no recollection of what I talked about. Can you provide some more context or about what part of the show it was? Beginning, middle, end?
