Sliced

Cooking dinner tonight I was cutting sweet potatoes with this knife with a guard that theoretically lets you slice things to a consistent width. The sweet potato defied the knife and the guard, wedging up between them causing the knife to twist and run back into my left hand, slicing the living shit out of my left forefinger. I’ve got a big wad of gauze and tape on it, so typing is challenging. Maybe by tomorrow I can switch it for a smaller bandage and do a little better.

  1. Dorothy, you got that right. Next time, I’m going straight to the electric knife rather than risk slicing the hell out of myself again.
