I’ve been back home for almost 48 hours and I’m still a little tired and my voice still sounds like Tom Waits. Three days of solid talking, much of it in loud rooms, will do that to a person. I’m delighted I went to Orycon. I hadn’t really been planning on it until they invited me, so thanks to Bobbie Dufault for making the effort to reach out to me. With the holiday weekend, I want to do my writeup of all the panels I was on as well as do my first podcast episode with interviews from the con. The work never stops, it just moves from coast to coast.

just keep some confetti in your pocket and you’ll be ok. 🙂
Gray, I don’t even understand that but I love you nonetheless. Happy thanksgiving!
not that the sentiment doesn’t stand on it’s own 🙂 …but i was hoping you’d seen tom waits’s appearance on letterman way back. he introduced “tango” by saying “this is a song about a guy who fell out of a window and the only thing to catch his fall was some confetti in his hair.” then he reached into his pocket, pulled out some confetti and threw it into his hair. hilarious. and random. i bet there’s footage on youtube somewhere. anyway, how can you not be happy if there’s confetti in your pocket?
oh and happy thankgiving to you and yours. love you too brotha!
Wow, I don’t remember that but it is really cool. I feel kind of Waitsian lately, I will indeed look for that.
