Bike Week Question Answered

With one data point about how Myrtle Beach Bike Week affects my commute, it just isn’t that dang dramatic. The access road my office is on is busier than usual with bikes going in and out, but there aren’t that many bikes between Conway and the bypass. Last Friday night when we left Myrtle Beach State Park, we drove up to the Dunkin Donuts on 3rd Avenue South. There were a lot of bikes on Kings Highway and most of the ride was pretty mellow except for the stretch from about 20th S to 10th S. I had two different bikers at different times pull right in front of me by making a right turn from the left lane. Another came to a dead stop in the middle of the road, apparently looking for some specific place. In 10 blocks, I had to slam on brakes three times. Other than that, no problems whatsoever.
