My blood pressure was also in the 150/110 (and had one reading that was higher than that when my back spasmed). I still need to lose the weight, but, it turned out that *my* blood pressure problem was actually sleep apnea. I still need to lose a bunch of weight, but the sleep apnea treatment brought my blood pressure down into normal range. Totally surprised me, but thankful I got a doctor who investigated that and didn’t just give me the “all of your health problems are 100% the fault of your weight” lecture.
