Downloaders Buy More

Just found an interesting story via Jeremy
Zawodny’s weblog
about how a Nielsen survey
seems to indicate that internet users who
download music by more than twice as many CD’s as internet users that
don’t
.

The major record labels blame the popularity of such free services as
Kazaa and Morpheus for sharp declines in CD sales. But other industry
watchers argue that declining sales are the result of fewer hit albums
being released and a weak economy.
