Band of the day! Today’s is Tony Levin, super bassist. I’ve long enjoyed his work in a variety of contexts, on Roches albums, as a sideman with Peter Gabriel, Laurie Anderson, Robert Fripp and many others. He played on Welcome to my Nightmare for gods sake! I am one of those people who prefers the King Crimson with Adrian Belew and Tony Levin to the 60’s and 70’s incarnations. There are some downloadable MP3s on this page. He sat out recent King Crimson activity to concentrate on his own bands. As a funny side thing, he has a hilarious page of extra band names for any young groups to take.
