My friend Kevin pointed me to this article on Wired about roll your own digital video recorders. I’ve been thinking about building a MythTV box for a while now. There is a new video card out with on-chip MPEG2 stuff that can greatly reduce the load on the computer’s CPU (ie, allow you to use a cheaper box). That sounds nice to me.
