Dave Winer responds to the BloggerCon price discussion. I think he’s missing the point. It doesn’t really matter to me whether or not he is pocketing the money. My thing is that the amount of money is more than I’m willing to spend unless I know for sure that I’m getting something for that cash. His email begins with this statement:

for people to get some facts before having strong often personal opinions.
Isn’t it the strong, often personal opinions that make this matter so much to people that there even is a BloggerCon? This is my last post on the subject, because other than the two hours I half-considered going, it doesn’t have much relevance to my life. It just all seems weird, but then, so does a lot of stuff.
