Choose Your Poison

My brother disagrees with my post about the Catholic Church. I think taking action on opinions while hand waving away actions is ludicrous, but each to their own. It has little impact on my life. Communion means nothing to me. I take it in the circumstances where it would cause a big scene if I didn’t, but I do it knowing that it is a hollow and meaningless gesture for me. I don’t believe there is a man in the sky who smiles when I put that piece of styrofoam or cracker in my mouth and wash it down with some grape juice or wine. I didn’t get married in a church, I won’t have my funeral in one, and if I had my druthers I’d never step in one again. In a later post, I may even elucidate why.

I’d be interested in knowing why you are so bitter.
