Festival International de Louisiane on KRVS

I just got my mailing list email the other day informing me that KRVS will be once again broadcasting live from the Festival International de Louisiane from April 21 to 25. This was an event I loved to go to when I lived in Lafayette. Musicians from around the world play over the course of 5 days. A number of local Cajun and Zydeco acts play, as well as an emphasis on Francophone acts from Canada and Africa. Lucky Dube will be there this year, Dr. John, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, and about 50 other acts. Good stuff.

I was just about to post my regrets about KRVS and their Windows Media streaming when I checked out the website and realize that they stream MP3 now! Holy crap, that is awesome! I just added them into my RadioLover as a channel. I need to add some of the Zydeco shows into my schedule as something I capture and burn to CD. This is a great station, and I was delighted to be associated with them and for them to be my flagship sponsoring station when I was doing Reality Break. Check out their stream, they are a truly great radio station.
