My weight on Sunday was 240, down about 6 pounds from baseline. I also got out while the weather was nice and rode my bike to the Central Avenue Metra station. This was groundwork to figure out how long I’ll need if I ride to the train. It was a little embarrassing how winded biking one mile left me. The return trip was even worse because the wind was blowing directly in my face. It was good to get a little excercise, and soon I think my routine will include this 2 miles of biking every day. That should help a little with my overall cardio fitness (which is really bad right now, perhaps as bad as it has ever been.)

I weighed in at 207 on a recent Dr. visit. That’s tied for heaviest I have ever been. The last time I weighed this much I was working out 3 to 4 hours a day and it was all muscle. I don’t have the abundance of muscle any more so it isn’t riding quite the same way. My Dr. told me that everyone gains about 5 pounds when going on the insulin pump. I need to lose some weight though and I will try to get down to about 190.
Well, even if the scale wasn’t telling me I’m down a little, I’d know it by the pants test. Ones that were getting downright uncomfortable to wear are now fitting kind of loosely. If they get so loose I go back down to a 36, I’ll be delighted.
