I saw this little item about Punta Mona (who can resist a place named “Monkey Point?”) on WorldChanging.com. It sounds like a good place to spend some time – an 87 acre self-sustaining farm that is off the grid, powered by solar panels and methane digesters. They have accomodations there and you can take rainforest tours and go on dolphin outings. I’ve long been interested in Costa Rica and want to visit there. I continue to this day to joke about how we could retire today if we did it in Costa Rica. This has more than a little influence in my desire to learn Spanish.
