Santo and Friends

I got the first mailing in a long time from the folks at Santo and Friends. As those who know me or read this blog no doubt know, I’m completely fascinated with Mexican pop culture and particularly that of 60’s and 70’s lucha libre. I have some Santo movies on VHS and have been meaning to buy some of these DVDs from these guys. Who can resist descriptions like this:

In a plot similar to the famous American sci-fi classic “THE BLOB”, a glob-like creature is released from a space rock by a scientist & it grows into a real problema until Santo arrives on the scene. Watch Santo tackle the space creature in this original, unedited Spanish-language version.

Although I’m planning to pick up some of these and a strong supporter of what they do, Santo and Friends have some really bad web pages. Just now I was looking at it and on some of the catalog pages using Safari I can’t even click the “Add to Cart” links because they are behind description text. I have to repeat what I always say about these things – make it easy to for people to give you their money.
