Audioblog for August 25, 2004

The new audioblog entry is online. In this one, I talk solely about RSS, the “iPod platform” and monetizing the whole thing with the oldest damn idea in broadcasting but with better technology and data. Ignore the part at the beginning where I say that it will be short. I thought it would be when I started, but it wasn’t. No personal stuff in this one, just my shot at trying to define some terms and lay out some ideas.

I am glad you put good mp3 tags in your audioblogs. Maybe you could put the main topics as the title of the mp3? so in itunes it says the date and topic and then album and your name? just a thought.

Comcast i guess has started to solve the problem of having to be there to watch things. They now have on demand where you can watch any of the previous aired shows at anytime you want. I don’t know if all channels work like that or only like HBO and premium chanels. So say you want to watch episode 5 of third season sopranos you can just somehow tell it you want that and it just starts playing, and you can pause and do other tivo like features.

Great ideas, you should breakout your points and the platform enablers into your text blog!
