Here is the Bittorrent link and direct MP3 download for the audioblog for November 6, 2004. It was recorded the morning before Bloggercon and is just now getting posted (although it’s been on the Bittorrent feed for days though, hint hint). Getting this writeup written was the slow step that I just couldn’t get to.
I talk about the meet and greet dinner the previous evening; I talk about how I’m planning to tape spontaneous interviews with people (which never happened – I never unpacked it); and wonder if I am becoming a cheap bastard. It’s a pretty short episode for me.

- Rock n Roll Geek Show – Mike Butler rocks!
Hey Dave, I just listened and had to tell you that I didn’t play the Metroplex with Exodus but I used to live in Atlanta and I played the Metroplex about 10 times with a punk band I used go be in called Stevie Stiletto and the Switchblades.
I even helped build the Metroplex when I was a punk rocker back in the ’80s
I love the show, BTW.
Rock on
Mike, that is a small world. If you were there at that time, I guarantee we were at the club at the same time. Since I worked at WREK, I was one of those scumbag guest list leeches and frequently at the Plex (and the White Dot and Cotton Club and Masquerade and ….) I don’t think I ever saw SS&S but I was frequently drunk then and sometimes just went to the showfor a lark. Was the Metroplex built from scratch or was it a converted building? It had that warehouse feel.
I didn’t quite catch it at first, but I notice the Cheap Trick song you dedicated for me was “He’s a Whore.” Was that just luck or the draw or were you sending me a message? If I ever land ads for a podcast, you should play that for me again.
