George Carlin Thought of the Day

My Carlin-a-day calendar has this for the weekend:

Civilization began its downhill path the day some guy first uttered the words “A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.”

  1. Dude, you can probably find this at any Borders or B&N, and it being February it is probably 90% off by now. That gives the the added plus of being able to read 30 of them in a few minutes right off the top.

  2. I bought one of these, but with Dilbert strips, last year in February (and a Star Trek Enterprise wall calendar), and they were going for a buck each.

I also have an ex-father-in-law that would get a kick out of one of them quote-a-day or cartoon-strip-a-day calendars if it was for the wrong year. So last February, I bought an extra of Dilbert’s strip-a-day, and I’m gonna give it to him for his birthday in June of THIS YEAR. That will really make his day. 🙂

Now that I see Dave mention this, and remembering last year’s finds, I think I’m heading to Borders ASAP to see what I get. There’s a cute new cashier too. 🙂

But I have to disagree with Carlin on this one: the downfall of civilization began when the first guy said “But the proposal says to [insert whatever here]. I think we should do what the proposal says.”
