EGC Clambake Episode for March 25, 2005

Here is the Bittorrent link and direct MP3 download for the EGC clambake for March 25, 2005. Two days from recording to posting, yikes!

I talk about the music permissions I received from Michelle Shocked and play a song; I play a clip from the John Edwards podcast and talk about it; I rundown a dispute I had on a forum and how “taking it offline” no longer makes sense to me; I play promos from my niece, Timmy from Lassie, and the Linux Link Tech show; I talk a little about the upcoming Michelle Shocked albums and play another song from her.

This episode is sponsored in part by the fine folks at iPodderX! Don’t forget, you can fly your EGC flag by buying the stuff package.

  1. Hey Dave, Greetings from South Africa!

I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but the Direct Mp3 Feed takes awhile to update. Today is the 30th and your clambake of the 25th hasn’t shown on the feed yet…

Do you do it manually or does the system do it for you?

  2. Leo, thanks for the heads up. I do that manually, and I try to do it a day or so after the Bittorrent file goes up just to not have the box groaning under two concurrent different onslaughts of bandwidth. For the initial seeding, I also run a seed on the host box. However, more often than not I forget to publish the MP3 feed. Maybe I’ll set up a cron job on my laptop to do it for those times when I completely forget.
