Here is the Bittorrent link and direct MP3 download for the EGC clambake for October 28, 2005.
I play audio feedback from David Jacobs and Ted Rieken (and John Powell by way of Alvin Dick); I play a song by Alana Davis; how about instead of “lift” for the lifestyle we use “uplift”; I play a song by the Butthole Surfers; I discuss the Stephen Hill notion of NPR production standards being a requirement for podcasts to be listened to; I play a song by Bullet Called Life; I’m out.

Hey Dave,
The name for the ideology of being in control of your life etc. cutting down and waste etc. – how about:
streamlifing
just an idea.
Chris.
Man, Bullet Called Life is all that..
I think that uplift is a great term. I loved the audio comment (by way of Island podcasting) about how the elders talked of lifting each other up. Uplifting.
Streamlifting. I like that one. Of course I am under a load of debt and drive a gas hogging suv. The horror. I am nowhere near this lifestyle, but I can aspire.

I like “uplift”, personally.
I’m now going to start a “urine streamcast” in the bathroom. Everyone should listen. l8r.
