Public Radio Fan’s Podcast List

I’ve been a fan of Public Radio Fan for some time. It’s the resource I use to find out what stations stream the shows I want to record with RadioLover. They have expanded a little, and now they have a list of public radio shows that have podcasts. That’s heads up play, and a good way for them to stay the canonical resource for how one can listen to public radio on the internet.

Thanks Dave for the fantastic public radio podcast list, I can’t wait to put it to good use.

I am now less than 24 hours away from *finally* (aaargh!) cutting over to the new Linux machine (from my vintage 1998 Win95 machine) and will be able to actually subscribe to all this shite. Instead of the XML-reading mp3-downloading hackery I’ve been resorting to up to now. Not to mention that the crusty old PC can barely play mp3’s without crashing …

Here’s a few interesting blog posts about using geeky tools to get various streaming radio content into podcast form:

starting with PublicRadioFan.com as a starting point. I just set up scripts to get NPR Morning Edition.
