Note to self: when you discuss haters hating, expect yourself to become a lightning rod for their hate. After all, that’s what they do and now you are on their hate-dar.
Note to the haters: Your comments are being deleted, so don’t waste your time. Use that hate energy somewhere more destructive.
The big irony is that part of what I have on the plate today is to work on my submission for a book that most or all of the haters are involved with. Kind of makes one wonder why one bothers, doesn’t it? If it weren’t for the fact that the one guy who is my primary contact is someone I really like and to whom I made this promise (and isn’t one of the haters), I’d just bag the whole thing.
in the words of b-rad: “don’t be hatin” 🙂
Huh? What are they commenting about? The Earthlink thing, or something else?
Egads, there are more TWACs abroad than I expected! It’s an epidemic! 🙂
I go by the sticks and stones saying.
Not 30 minutes after writing that comment above, on this morning’s commute to work, I listened to the EGC from Jan 29. So now I know what you’re referring to.
Gotta start making time to listen sooner to when you post so I’m more in the loop. 🙂
Yeah, I just listened to it too but I wasn’t quite sure what was in it to be upset about. You are a positive person; don’t turn into Mister Rogers. The spirit of rock consists of sex and anger which is related to hate. When I think of the best comedians I have seen they are usually the bitter angry ones. Maybe that is just me. I think Lenny Bruce made some comments about the Pope that had a lot of people offended or something like that. I would rather listen to Bruce than the Pope. All this peace and love stuff is great but it’s not very entertaining to listen to. Ditto about the congrats on the god show. How about another one topic show for us fans?
To the electronic band:
You guys are good but you need to back off on the reverb.
Just don’t confuse “hate” with “being critical” or “not giving someone a free pass.”
Check the reasons behind what you say and do. If it’s jealously, rethink it.
Pete, the stuff I’m referring to is all entirely non-useful and invective driven. That’s what my self-reflection was, trying to determine if what I do is useful or myself being a knee-jerk-off.
