If you use a standard SOHO router in your home network, be sure and change the default password. If not you are susceptible to this attack. I previously had not done that, so I did it today. Bad me, I’m better now.

Or, disallow logins from the WAN side — allow only from the LAN side, your home network.
No, Chris, that absolutely does not protect from this attack, since it happens via JavaScript from within your own network, attacking your router from the LAN side.
