I just randomly happened across this poster while I was looking at something else. Apparently there will be a Zombie Walk this weekend in Myrtle Beach. I’m not 100% certain at this point if I’m going to be in town or not on this Saturday. If I am, I’m definitely going to this and shooting some video. Pete Proedehl did his video years ago of the zombie outbreak in Madison. I’d be happy to make a similar video.
For those of you around the Grand Strand, you might think about coming out for this. Who can pass up a chance to act crazy like this? I’m not sure how it raises money but they say on a different poster that all the proceeds are donated to the American Cancer Society. Perhaps they are having a brain sale. Do the undead carry cash?
I know Matt, the kid who did the poster, But haven’t found out much info about he event itself.
Hey guys,
A buddy told me about last night. It is a charity event from what he told me. From what he told me there would be people to do makeup. I think it starts and ends at the Clubhouse…With a special drink price for those who participated. Basically you walk around like a zombie with a cup and people make donations into the cup…. They have a Myspace account if you want to check out the details. The computer I am on now i can’t get to Myspace and give you a direct link…Just check it out if you get the time…
Andre, that’s cool. Small world, or at least small town.
Kirk, there is a link to the Myspace page in my post. If I’m in town I’ll check it out.
Darnit! Wish R and I were going to be in town this weekend. This looks rather interesting :[ It seems like MB is going through a renaissance of sorts.
News Flash……The Local gorehounds of Kluckin Films will be at the Zombie Walk to help make you look like a dead Zombie! Be at the Clubhouse early to get into makeup.
The Zombie Walk was a great time…We had a blast. We only had one bad encounter with a business owner. He yelled at us for being to close to his business. We were one big happy Zombie family. I did not get to stick around for the bands and the movies. But the walk was great. They hope to do it again…
ARRRGGGGHHHHH
