Dude…talk about memories!! I was also *heavily* involved in INWO back then; I still have an entire box of cards that I got as a birthday gift in ’95 or ’96. I hung out on many of the SJG Usenet newsgroups (INWO, In Nomine, Illuminati at least). Good times!
I remember GRiD laptops as well…never had one, but I’ve seen them. I did have an old luggable (not quite as bad, maybe 12 lb. or so) that I carried with me during those years as well to dial into SJ’s Illuminati Online system. Fun stuff.

Edit/clarification: by “box”, above…I mean case or carton. Probably 20 of the playing card size boxes, most of which are still unopened and plastic-wrapped. A wonderful birthday present!
