In this episode, I do a wrap up of my experience of the Dog Days of Podcasting; I talk about other month long challenges I have attempted and failed at; I discuss why I still want to publish a paper zine; I reminisce about developing my own film and printing my own photos in high school; I talk about an exchange with Garrick van Buren that blew my mind.

Just finished listening to your Dog Days podcasts. I had meant to comment on a couple of them throughout the month, but that didn’t happen. So here’s a combined comment 🙂
– Congratulations on 10 years of podcasting!
– At some point you mentioned that you might start blogging more, please do.
– Thanks for turning me on to Valley Lodge (as well as a couple other bands over the years)
– Great job with the weight loss, keep it up!
Thanks JP. I definitely noticed a difference in traffic to the site when I’m doing the daily Dog Days posts versus the sporadic monthly-ish episode posts.
From the In Beta podcast I first learned of the concept of POSSE, ie Publish Own Site, Syndicate Everywhere. I think that really is what I need to do. Why give Google+ and Facebook all the mojo that I used to reserve for myself?
Glad you enjoyed Valley Lodge. I am going to stick another one in the next show, just for fun. Thanks for the comment!
One last thing RE: putting todos on a calendar, here’s a calendar that does it: http://www.wired.com/2014/09/this-ai-powered-calendar-is-designed-to-give-you-me-time/
Unfortunately, it’s iPhone only at this point, but an Android app is in the offing.
