  1. Tell her about how important they are for the environment and getting rid of other bugs. Also that not all of them are venomous, I respect spiders. They are cool and vital creatures. I try my best not to kill them unless they are clearly poisonous or there is no other option.

      You are being much more serious than I was. It was all about making a Jim Stafford joke. For a former punk and metal head, I know an awful lot about him, Ray Stevens, Mac Davis, Eddie Rabbit, Ronnie Milsap and other lite country stars of the 70s.

    2. I’m usually more serious than necessary lol but I dig it.

    3. We actually gave her a whole lecture on the utility of spiders, and Dave took the one in question outside without hurting it. He’s big on old guy jokes.
