I can almost hear a developer saying “Well we could do that cheaply, but you’d have to have customers enter a 26-long digital code.”
That is EXACTLY what I thought. “We’re McDonalds, of course people will do this, why bother streamlining it? Just do the quickest (cheapest) thing.”
Dave Slusher If they offer a $5 gift card, people will run over their grandmothers for it. 26 digits? No biggie for something free.
It could be worse. They could prompt you to create a new online account on McDVoice.com, choose your own sign-in name (“sorry, that name is taken”), password, and then email verification to confirm. (Unless of course you have the McD mobile app – then of course there’s a unified SSO exp).
Yeah, really surprised they don’t want you to install an app. Everybody tries to force you into thier app.
