In this episode I play a song by The Gentle Readers; I want Lee Cuthbert to be my best friend; I retired without a lot of ceremony from the day job; I don’t have a lot of retirement advice other than start young; grampa accidentally bought me a PS 5; Cyberpunk 2077 patch updates kind of sold me the PS 5; I got a nice retirement gift from an old friend; the kid and I went ham on a jigsaw puzzle; there is a pleasure in being out and about on weekdays; I am open to contract jobs but not in the winter holidays nor the summer; my comic shop moved much close to my house and I’m good with that.

    Dave! Thanks for the kind shoutout on the retirement gift package I sent you, and I’m so glad that you (and the kid) enjoyed the puzzle! Spreading out a big jigsaw puzzle is a holiday tradition for us too, and Sharon and I actually did that one over the July 4th break — actually at a campsite in north Georgia with extended family. There are some really amazing pencils in there! If anyone else wants to see it, especially any folks here from the pencil mafia, google for “phat dog pencil jigsaw puzzle”.

    I actually hadn’t kept up with your podcast for several years, but I stumbled across it again recently when you and I were working on restoring the Jon K and Thomas P memorial websites.
