I've done a little bit of trying to wrangle a shindig with my buds in PDX for tomorrow. E-mails have exchanged, and I'm trying to get a quorum together for sushi buffet at the fabulous Todai in Pioneer Place. After that can be revelry at any number of watering holes around there. I'm looking forward to the trip, despite hearing some very bad news yesterday. I need cheering up, and I feel a strong need to remind my friends that I still love them, even if I'm the width of a continent away. and publishing it at intervals through the convention. I keep meaning to write the mailing list and ask if there will be wifi access. They do have something cool that they did years ago, which is make the program schedule available for Palm devices. When I bought my first Handspring 2 years ago, it was at the CompUSA across the street from the convention and one of the very first things I did was to download the program schedule, even before I knew what I was doing. Back then I worked a deal where I had Intertrust fly me back for business that just happened to coincide with the con. Bwahahaha! I have observed in this life that everything is more fun when someone else is paying the bill.
