Through no particular planning of my own, it turns out I will only have worked one complete 5 day week in the last 8 weeks of 2002. Next week is it. With these short long-weekend vacations, Thanksgiving, XMas and then New Years, no full work weeks for me. This really kind of rocks. I could get used to life as a slackard. ng routed through the wanding crap. What a relief, I hate that crap. The SuperShuttle did a fine job, getting us to the airport almost exactly two hours early. This was plenty of time to check in, go through security, eat a little lunch and now to play with computer some. I've been walking through some of the SDL test programs, trying to understand that code a little. I'm wondering if anyone has done standard libraries for SDL, like menu bars and other stuff. If so, I can think about it similarly to the way I use the AWT or Swing classes in Java. If these don't exist, I might try to write some generic classes and then release them as such. So far, it seems pretty easy to understand. I haven't dug through the networking classes but if they are anything like the core classes, they'll be quite easy to comprehend. Getting close to boarding, so I'm shutting down for now. More from the plane.

Both directions of this trip have had shitty movies. On the way out was Home Alone and now we have Crocodile Hunter. It's the kind of film that one only has to glance at the screen once every five minutes without the headset to realize that it really really sucks. The headsets were free this time, which was not cheap enough to induce me to watch this piece of dreck. I don't even like Steve Irwin, his show paling in comparison to the far superior Jeff Corwin Experience.
