Here's a link to a story about the health effects of living in a sprawling suburb. What's ironic is that by moving where we did to north Evanston, we have more things walkable and bikeable then we did in our house very near the heart of Atlanta. It is just plain difficult to get places by foot in 98% of Atlanta, and downright foolish to try by bicycle unless you have a deathwish. I'm hoping to drop some weight from lifestyle changes when I get up here permanently.
