A few minutes ago, I heard the word "podcast" on broadcast radio for the first time. At the bottom of the hour break, there was a promo for On the Media which referred to this weeks show as "our very first podcast edition." Time from inception of the term to hearing it on NPR - 4 months. Not bad.
