I had hoped that by now, several weeks into the new gig, that I'd be more productive with the blog and the podcast. Part of the appeal of the new job is that doesn't take so much of the energy and mojo out of my life. Even though I have to get out of the house and shlep to the office, I find that I'm much fresher at the end of the day than I was working out of the house with the startup. There was a certain level of baseline stress that just never went away before, and now I am out from under that.

However, at this point that hasn't translated into a renewed vigor in the new media sphere. I'm a little embarrassed at this blog nowadays. I used to write these long essays, and for the longest time I'm lucky to get out a single paragraph pointing at some wacky web link per day. I've got this backlog of things I want to write about, and with any luck that floodgate will open soon. Right now, it just takes a little getting used to the balance of my new work life with my new home life. It will all get sorted out soon enough, and then I hope to be back in business and better than ever.
